Fi-Clor Supercapsules can be used as a regular pool sanitiser - they are especially recommended for pools that are open all year round. They are enclosed in a protective plastic sleeve making them easy to handle. As the capsule dissolves, chlorine is released from each end of the sleeve. The surface area of the capsule exposed to water remains constant so, unlike normal 200g tablets, you get an even amount of chlorine going into the pool from start to finish. These calcium hypochlorite Supercapsules contain 65% available chlorine, no stabiliser (cyanuric acid) and will not contribute to chlorine lock. Each capsule weighs 300g and should last 3-5 days depending upon water conditions. Ideal treatment when chlorine or bromine levels are higher than recommended for bathing, and there is insufficient time for them to fall naturally. Instructions Accurately measure the free available chlorine level or available bromine and calculate the amount of sanitiser that needs to be reducedFor pools on chlorine, the dose rate is 7 grams of Fi-Clor Chlorine/Bromine Reducer per 1m3 of water for every 1ppm (mg/l) of chlorine to be reduced. For the average sized home pool of 50m3 (11,000 gallons), 350g of the product will reduce the chlorine level by 1ppm (mg/l).For pools on bromine, the dose rate is 3 grams of Fi-Clor Chlorine/Bromine Reducer per 1m3 of water for every 1ppm (mg/l) of bromine to be reduced. It may also be used for reactivating spent Bromine in Bromine treated pools. It dissolves rapidly to break down unpleasant pollutants and organic matter, and is effective over a wide range of water conditions and pH values. It is an ideal shock treatment for pools using automatic pool covers. Instructions The product can be dosed directly into the pool without pre-dissolving. It should always be used when bathing has ceased. For outdoor use, avoid facing the wind when dosing.Calculate the volume of water in your pool (if in doubt, consult the Fi-Clor Swimming Pool Handbook). High levels are not a major cause for concern provided the pH and alkalinity are within recommended parameters, but the reading should be kept below 1000mg/l (ppm) if possible.
